Last night I sat under the cloudless sky
and watched the remains of a meteor shower
with a few of my oldest friends
and some I'd never imagined
We danced, we laughed, we played
in the most natural form
And for once I felt free.

it's coming down

drove for miles today

just to turn around

head back where i came from.

insomnia is getting the better of me lately

I'm not really sure what else to do.

I'm so lost, it hasn't been this way for a while

I don't know how I feel about it, or anything anymore.

I really need some familiarity to come back my way

point me in the right direction.

I'm searching but this headache is blinding.

the only thing keeping me sane is this youtube video on repeat.

ROBBERY

I watch the wind catch the breath of my cigaret

it floats towards the street light and disappears.

my feet pace the water stained pavement

I look to the sky and watch the rain clouds roll in

what the hell I'm doing here?

I wonder if foxes are nocturnal

I should drink more water.

today I opened my eyes under the salt water,
searching for my surfboard,
instead I found the sunlight gleaming through the oceans' surface.

today I approached a man holding a sign reading "free healings"
and held hands with a group of strangers,
as we prayed for my mother.

today I found the meaning behind it all; love.

you stole my heart with your voice.

last night,

you walked away with my fedora
